The King's Proposal

ABOUT THIS CD:

The King's Proposal is based on the Jewish tradition of having a written contract of marriage called a "ketubah". In ancient times, the ketubah was a hand written document in which the bridegroom would promise certain things to his prospective bride in order to win her affections. An important part of the ketubah was the offering of what is called the "bride price". This was an amount the bridegroom was willing to "pay" for His bride.

The Bible is, in a sense, God's "ketubah" which He offers to all mankind.  The "bride's price" was the blood of His own Son.

When we produced "The King's Proposal" we took many of God's great and precious promises from the Bible and paraphrased them so that  the hearer  could experience what it would be like to listen to the King of kings offerring his marriage covenant to them.
